Collins Won’t Back Nominee With ‘Hostility Toward Roe v. Wade’


Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, told MSNBC on Wednesday she would not vote for a Supreme Court nominee who “demonstrates hostility toward Roe v. Wade and doesn’t consider it to be settled law.”

“There could be a person who is very strongly for Roe v. Wade but lacks the qualification, the experience, the integrity, has ethical issues in the background, the FBI report turned up some troubling issues,” Collins added. “I’m not going to vote for that person just because they’re for Roe v. Wade.”
